We Are Home Owners

It probably isn't new news to anyone we know, that Courtney and I bought a house- especially since we closed just over 2 month ago. We talked about getting a blog up for everyone to see the progress so we've taken many pictures along the way, but haven't gotten around to actually posting until now. Not that things have slowed down between the working at the house, planning/prepping for our upcoming wedding, and living our daily lives, but I just happen to have a spare moment to get this ball (a pretty large ball so far) rolling.

Courtney and I had luck on our side and a pretty good Realtor (my dad) when we found our first new home. We heard that a house in the neighborhood we both grew up in would be coming on the market soon so we started to keep an eye on it. We both made that our new route to work in the morning to see if a for sale sign was put up. We finally saw a sign, but the house didn't officially go on the market for a couple weeks after and the first weekend on the market it already had an offer that had been accepted. We kept a close eye and with God on our side, the people who made the offer backed out after the inspection because of some issues we were already aware of. We swooped in, went through the motions, and voila- here we are with our overgrown, mess of a new home! We're so excited!
